Highly respected by the industry, the media, as well as his audiences, Dave Attell has risen to the top of his craft. He recently finished his self-titled pilot for Comedy Central.
He can be seen on Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart along with his own half-hour special. Dave was named one of Interview Magazine's "30
People Under 30", as well as being featured in New York Magazine as a premiere New York comic.
After his first performance on The Late Show with David Letterman, Dave was hand-picked by Lorne Michaels
to be a writer/performer on Saturday Night Live.
He went on to write and perform on The Jon Stewart Show, and made additional appearances on The Late Show and Late Night with Conan O'Brien. Dave also found time to create a series of image spots for Comedy Central, and wrote and produced the short series The Real Bowl for the network. In March of 1995, Dave was featured on HBO's Young Comedians' Special live from the U.S. Comedy and Arts Festival in Aspen. He then went on to tape his own half-hour special for HBO in the Spring of 1996. Last year, Dave was nominated for an American Comedy Award as best male stand-up, and since then has been very busy touring across the country. Even across the Atlantic, audiences are engaged by Attell's aggressive wit and his command of the stage. In reviewing a show Dave did in London in July 1997, The Evening Standard wrote, "One day streets will be named after him." Recently Dave has appeared on Drew Carey's Mr. Vegas All-Star Party on HBO, and starred in his own Pulp Comics and half-hour special which aired on Comedy Central. Dave continues to perform standup comedy at clubs across the country. Loved by all on Comedy Central's "Insomniac".
